Sound Knowledge of Mathematics
Reading and thinking passionately about mathematics because of great affinity for the subject , gave me multiple dimensions to think and go deeper and deeper inside the subject. After 20 years of teaching , i am able to relate mathematical concepts to apply in real life and help students to make them understand and apply.
Teaching Strategies
I try my students to understand mathematics concepts in an easiest way. Making difficult concepts lucid and interesting. I believe anyone can teach about how to solve a particular problem but i teach my students about how to approach it. I prefer to take frequent tests based on JEE-Mains and Advanced level pattern which helps our students know where they are lacking. I try to teach my students about how to frame their own questions, and make them think out of the box.
Good Motivator
I know maths is a tricky subject. Sometimes when students get demotivated, confused or in a give up state i try to sit with them one to one, listen to them, talk with them to help them acquire the right problem-solving skills. By doing this, it prevent the students from losing interest and disengaging from studying mathematics.
Engaging
As a maths faculty, I never force students to follow only approach. Neither do they assume that they know everything to the point they ignore any form of correction. Instead, i try to act as facilitator, allowing the students to offer suggestions and solve problems differently on their own. I try to allow room for collective discussions so that everyone in the class arrives at the same conclusion. In case my student is unable to solve a problem, i do not allow him to quit. I work with such students and give them the motivation to identify where they went wrong and keep working on the problem until they find the right answer. I and my team of maths faculties also provide the right guidance and support where necessary.
